Kindergarten is a year for social, emotional, and academic growth. This is your child’s first formal year of instruction. Children are growing and maturing continuously. All children have their own patterns of growth, but some characteristics are common to children of Kindergarten age. The district language arts, science, math, social studies standards are designed to develop skills to enable students to apply a variety of strategies appropriate to their maturity and interests.

An effective partnership between school and home promotes a lifelong love of learning, and positively affects academic achievement and personal success. We look forward to a rewarding and productive partnership with you during your child’s year in Kindergarten!
