Dr. Craig Baker, Superintendent of the Cupertino Union School District
Prior to joining CUSD, Dr. Baker served as the Superintendent of the San Carlos School District for eight years. While there, he was voted 2016 Superintendent of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) for Region 5. Dr. Baker has 40 years of experience as an educator, most of those years in public education. Previous positions he has held include teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent in both the Pájaro Valley Unified and Redwood City School Districts. Other career highlights include being the Vice President of Learning and the Executive Director of the Robert N. Noyce Center for Learning at The Tech Museum of Innovation. Dr. Baker also served two years as a School Board Member for the Redwood City Elementary School District. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his doctorate in education from the University of San Francisco.
