Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Lisa Orlando
I have been teaching for over 25 years. All but my first year has been spent in middle school. I have taught sixth grade, seventh grade, a reading elective, Leadership, Boost, and have served as a site coordinator of the sixth grade middle school program at CMS. Teaching is my passion, not just a job to me. I love reading about ways to deliver curriculum, plan and execute lessons. I take my job very seriously, but I like to have fun.
I was born and raised in the area and both my parents were born in Sunnyvale and went to Fremont High School. I am married, have two children, and a dog. We live in Sunnyvale very close to where my parents grew up and right next door to and across the street from my cousins.
I love to travel and up until a few years ago, I used to take students on educational travel trips to Europe every spring break. Unfortunately, the board has made this impossible to do anymore. I have a passion for history, travel, cooking and reading. My family and I love to hike, bike, explore new places, camp and have family gatherings with our extended family.
