3rd Grade Supply List

  • To the Parents of Incoming Third Grade Students:

In the fall of each year, teachers generally ask parents to donate supplies. Parents have requested that these lists be sent out now so that supplies can be purchased during August when many of the stores have special Back-to-School sales. As always, the school will provide the necessary supplies when families are unable to donate them.

1 heavy-duty yellow folder (plastic or poly)         1 container of baby wipes, unscented

1 blue pocket folder (paper or plastic)                 1 box of Kleenex

1 red pocket folder (paper or plastic)                   1 bottle of hand sanitizer (8 oz.)

    1 pencil box (approximately 9” x 5”)                     1 inch/cm ruler (not bendable)

2 one-subject spiral notebooks with perforated pages and folder pocket (ex. Mead Star)

**1 heavy-duty pocket folder, no fasteners, any design (not in the SchoolKidz kit)

Please have the following items UNPACKAGED and already organized in the pencil box on the first day of school. Put items in parentheses into a large Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name.

2 dozen #2 Ticonderoga sharpened pencils (put 22 pencils in the Ziploc bag)

1 good quality pencil sharpener w/ cover            2 Magic Rub erasers (1 in Ziploc)

1 box of 12 Twistable Crayola crayons                2 large Elmer’s glue sticks (1 in Ziploc)

1 box of 10 thin markers                                        (4oz bottle of Elmer’s glue)

    1 pair student scissors

4 highlighters: green, yellow, red, and blue

**4 – 3x3 Post-It brand sticky note pads, light color (not in the SchoolKidz kit)

**These items are not part of the SchoolKidz kit that some parents are opting to purchase through the Collins PTA. Therefore, they need to be bought separately.

Clearly mark the following with your child’s name: pencil sharpener, crayon box, marker box, scissors, glue bottle, glue sticks, ruler, and erasers (if possible). No need to put your child’s name on individual items such as pencils and crayons.

Please send your child’s supplies on the first day of school ready to go. Any school supplies that your child brings that are NOT on this list may be sent home.

Class lists will be posted after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13 and the first day of school is Monday, August 16. See you then. Have a wonderful summer!
