Universal Access (UA) is a 30 minute block of time when all teachers within a grade level, along with the Title I Intervention Specialist and a para-professional, provide explicit language instruction for our English Language Learners, targeted intervention for at-risk students in language arts or math, or targeted instruction for students who need a challenge. For students not working with a teacher, UA is a time to work independently on a project or activity that reinforces previous skills learned.
