What is the Open Enrollment Lottery?
The Open Enrollment Lottery is the process Cupertino Union School District uses to organize those requests for attendance at a school other than the assigned attendance school. In order to qualify for the Open Enrollment Lottery for your child(ren) to attend McAuliffe School, at least one parent must have attended a McAuliffe School Tour and an Information Session* for the upcoming school year. It is important that you complete all required paperwork at these sessions.
Once you have completed the tour, information session, and site paperwork, you will want to watch the CUSD website for the posting of Open Enrollment dates. It is during Open Enrollment that you will need to complete and submit an electronic form indicating your desire to have your child(ren) attend McAuliffe School instead of your assigned attendance school.

*Tour and Information Session attendance records are maintained for two years. If two years have passed and then you decide to participate in Open Enrollment, you would have to re-attend a School Tour and Information Session to be eligible.
