• Alternative School Enrollment and Lottery

    • Alternative School information meetings/tours will be held between October 2018 and January 2019 - meeting/tour information is available on each alternative school’s website
    • Families must live in the District at the time of registration and must maintain residency in the District in order to apply for the alternative school lottery and/or remain on the living waitlist
    • Parents/Guardians must attend an information meeting/tour at each alternative school of interest this year, before January 10, 2019, unless you have a current student at your alternative school of choice
      • At the alternative school meeting/tour, parents/guardians will be required to show either a registration receipt (NEW students) or provide the child’s perm ID number (CURRENT students)
      • If you have a current student at an alternative school and are enrolling a new sibling, register at your neighborhood elementary school site and bring the receipt to the alternative school where his/her sibling attends
    • Parents/Guardians who attend one or more alternative school meeting/tour this year will receive a form via email allowing for alternative school selections during the week of January 21, 2019
      • Parents/Guardians will have five days to complete and submit the form in order to be eligible for one or more Alternative School Lottery
    • The Alternative School Lottery will be held during the week of January 28, 2019 with lottery results available no later than February 11, 2019
    • The 2019-2020 waitlist will be a living document and students listed on a school’s specific waitlist will not need to re-apply; names will be rolled over each year

     

    Open Enrollment Lottery

    Parents/Guardians interested in a neighborhood school other than their child’s assigned school will have an opportunity to apply to neighborhood schools with available space for the 2019-2020 school year in February 2019. Details about the process to apply to another school will be shared with the community in January 2019.
