The Homework Center is supervised by a teacher, and students will have access to technology and the necessary resources to complete assignments. The Homework Center is offered on a drop-in basis; no registration is necessary. Safe Routes to School
Parents, if you are considering having your child get to CMS on their own, start by a trial run on the weekends with your preferred method - either walking, biking, scooting, skateboarding. Talk with your child about the traffic signs (speed limit signs, crosswalks) and potential hazards (cars backing out of driveways, cars turning, large trees/bushes blocking visibility, on the way. Take different routes to see which one you and your child are comfortable with. Based on these trials, determine morning departure time in which your child can arrive at school safely. Be sure to notify the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety of road hazards specifics, if needed.
