• Fall Family Night - Multicultural event
    Nov 2   4:00-6:00 pm
    Volunteers Needed!
This multicultural event showcases food, music, dance, arts, and crafts from around the globe.
Would you like to share your culture with the CMS community? CMS-PTO needs your help for this annual Fall Family Night.

We are looking for parent and student volunteers to host booths representing their own or any country. You can prepare bite-size food for sampling (a crowd favorite!), lead a craft activity, teach some basic greetings in your native language, teach a few dance steps, show art, or share other aspects of your culture!

CMS-PTO will provide tables, chairs, and reimburse up to $100 in expenses for each booth. If you need additional people to assist in your booth, we’ll find you help or help you ourselves! Visit www.cms-pto.org or email programs@cms-pto.org if you have any questions.

  • Homework Center:

CMS offers a Homework Center Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 in the school library starting August 27. The Homework Center is supervised by a teacher, and students will have access to technology and the necessary resources to complete assignments. The Homework Center is offered on a drop-in basis; no registration is necessary. Arrangements should be made so that students are picked up or walk directly home no later than 4:00 as there is no campus supervision after that time.

Safe Routes - Safety Tips

  • Safe Routes to School

Parents, if you must drive your child to school, consider dropping them off or pick them up a block or two away from CMS.  This will help decrease the number of vehicles immediately around campus thus increasing the safety for all. Furthermore, students can get some exercise in by walking or rolling.
