• Cupertino-Hsinchu Sister City 2020 Student Exchange Program

    The sister cities of Cupertino and Hsinchu operate a well-established annual middle/high school student exchange program. The purpose of this program is for student delegations to visit Hsinchu, Taiwan in order to strengthen the bonds between the two communities.

    Student delegates will be: 

    ➢ Visiting Hsinchu from April 11 to April 19, 2020 

    ➢ Selected from middle schools of the CUSD or high schools of the FUHSD 

    ➢ 7th through 12th-grade students 

    ➢ Staying with reputable host families in Hsinchu 

    ➢ Attending local public schools in Hsinchu and gaining new friends 

    ➢ Touring Hsinchu and Taipei and learning about life in Taiwan 

    All interested families and CUSD or FUHSD staff are invited to attend an information meeting.

School Announcements

  • Homework Center:

    CMS offers a Homework Center Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 in the school library starting August 27. The Homework Center is supervised by a teacher, and students will have access to technology and the necessary resources to complete assignments. The Homework Center is offered on a drop-in basis; no registration is necessary. Arrangements should be made so that students are picked up or walk directly home no later than 4:00 as there is no campus supervision after that time.

Safe Routes - Safety Tips

  • Parents, if you must drive down Bernardo or Helena to drop off or pick up students:

    • Only drop off/pick up students along the designated passenger loading/unloading sidewalks located on the campus side of Bernardo or Helena
    • Do not drop off or pick up students in parking lots (reserved for staff parking and CUSD buses)
    • Follow all posted traffic signs
    • No U-turns or other unsafe maneuvers
    • Do not double park or block parked cars
    • Drive slow
