At each regular Surplus Property 7-11 Committee Meeting, members of the public has an opportunity to address the Committee on matters that are under the Committee’s jurisdiction even if they are not listed on the agenda. “Public Comment” is a standing item for the Committee to hear those in the audience wishing to speak to matters that are NOT on the agenda. For items that are on the agenda, the committee hears public comments when they consider the items during the meeting.
Members of the public who wish to address the Committee on any item must submit an online Comment Card prior to the start of the item. Forms submitted after the item has been called will be sent to the Committee post-meeting.
When the Committee is ready to hear public comments, the Committee Chair will first recognize the speaker by the name and then invite the speaker to address the Board. The speaker must be present, in person or virtually, to make the comments; otherwise, the Committee will receive the comments post-meeting. Members of the public may also email the committee.
Public comments are limited to three (3) minutes per person unless there are too many people requesting to speak, in which case the Committee Chair may limit comments to less than three (3) minutes per person.
If you attend the meeting VIRTUALLY and would like to make a public comment:
