Wellness Committee

In accordance with CUSD's Board Policy 5030, Student Wellness, the Wellness Committee ("Committee") is an advisory group comprised of District staff, parents, community members, and community partners. It is a standing Superintendent's Committee that, with input from the Superintendent, reviews the current policies and practices and determines the annual focus areas. For the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years, the Committee's focus has been the District's Student Nutrition Program and Services. For the 2021-22 and 2022-23 school years, the Committee's focus is to wrap-up work around our Student Nutrition Program and Services, then to shift to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) with a keen focus on suicide prevention and providing feedback on how the five core competencies (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making) “show up” across grade levels and grade level bands.

Committee agendas are posted on this website page in advance of each meeting. Click here for the 2021-2023 Committee Members. For more information about the Committee, or to share comments/ask questions, please email the Committee facilitators:
