News Alert: Cupertino Union School District is excited to announce the expansion of our After-School Enrichment Program to all students in grades K through 6th for the 2026–2027 school year! Our program offers a safe, engaging, and academically supportive environment conveniently located directly at your child’s school site.
Program Eligibility & Registration Pathways
Depending on your family's status, enrollment is available either through state-funded ELO-P qualification or our fee-based tuition option.
1. State-Funded ELO-P (No Cost for Eligible Families)
Eligibility Criteria
Students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th Grade qualify for state-funded ELO-P at no cost if they meet any of the following criteria:

Low-Income Students (Direct Certification / Income Verification)

Foster Youth

English Language Learners (ELL)

(Please note: English Learner (EL) students who are not low-income or foster youth are not eligible for the no-cost program, but may participate under the district fee scale outlined below.)

Registration Timelines for ELO-P

May: Annual registration opens for the upcoming fall school year.

Late October: Registration window for newly classified Kindergarten English Learners and newly enrolled low-income students.

March: Registration opens for the July Summer Camp session.
Qualification & Waitlist Policies

Notification: Eligible families will receive an official Invitation Letter confirming program qualification.

Waitlists: If demand exceeds capacity at a specific school site, a local waitlist will be established once state offer-and-access requirements are fulfilled.

Transition Status: Per California Education Code (EC § 46120(b)), local education agencies are not required to provide access to students whose eligibility status is in active transition (e.g., incoming TK students prior to the start of the school year, outgoing 6th graders after school ends, or students currently undergoing EL reclassification).
2. Fee-Based Option (Non-ELO-P Families)
Families who do not meet state ELO-P eligibility criteria are invited to enroll through our tuition-based program option.
Rates & Payment Policies

Monthly Tuition: $650 per month

First Payment Due: August 3, 2026 (Required to secure your child’s spot for the fall)

Ongoing Billing: Payments are due at the beginning of each calendar month.

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued once payment is submitted.

Financial Hardship: Continued enrollment depends on timely payments. If your family encounters financial hardship, please contact our office immediately to discuss alternative payment options.
School Transfers & Program Continuity

Transfer Eligibility: If your child transfers to another school within CUSD, their ELO-P eligibility and enrollment status remain intact.

Notification Required: Parents/guardians must notify the ELO-P office immediately upon transferring to confirm placement at the new school site.
