Qualification criteria for ELO-P:
- Low-income Students
- Foster Youth
- English Language Learners
Grade levels:
Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten to Sixth grade
Registration
Registration Timelines:
1) June for upcoming Fall
2) The end of October for reclassified ELs Kindergarteners and new Low-income student
3) March for July summer camp

Local Education Agencies are not required to offer and provide access to pupils whose priority for the program is in transition. (Eg. Incoming TK pupils during the summer before school starts, outgoing sixth grade pupils during the summer after they have completed the school year, EL pupils in the midst of classification etc).
Invitation Letter and Enrollment:

Eligible students have access to the program for the entire school year if the enrollment process is completed within the specified window.

Notification: Parents will be notified if their child qualifies for the program
Student waitlist:

The creation and implementation of a waitlist is locally based if a Local Education Agency meets their offer and provides access requirements outlined in EC Section 46120(b).
School Transfer:

Students can participate in ELO-P at their new school within the district if they transfer.

Eligibility remains regardless of the school locations

Parents and/or school must contact the ELO-P office to confirm transfer.
