Digital Library Resources for Students and Staff

Sora (all grades): Student reader for OverDrive. Available on the iTunes or Google Play stores. Sora is the student reading app for OverDrive eBook resource library.

How to login:

Want access to more books? Add the Santa Clara Online Library District for Students OverDrive account (below) to your Sora account!

  1. Go to https://soraapp.com/library/cupertinoca and click on the "Sign in using Cupertino Union School District" button
  2. Sign in with your district Google account
  3. Once signed into Sora, click on the menu in the upper-right hand corner and then click on "Add a library"
  4. Search for the library you want to add
  5. The online catalogue for the library you selected will display
  6. When you go to borrow a book, it will prompt you for your library card number and PIN. See below for details for the Santa Clara County Library.

Santa Clara Online Library for Students (all grades)

Students can login with a username = S + Student Perm ID + CUSD (for example, S123456CUSD)  Password is Birth month + 00 (for example, May = 0500)

ProQuest (Grades 6+): Millions of articles from more than 10,000 full-text scholarly journals.

ProQuest CultureGrams (Grades 3+): Concise cultural information on countries around the world.

ProQuest eLibrary: General reference aggregation of periodical and digital media content with editorial guidance for novice researchers.

ProQuest Research Companion (Grades 6+): Information literacy tools and tutorials to help develop critical thinking.

ProQuest SIRS Discoverer (Grades 3+): Selected content for novice researchers, especially elementary and middle school students and educators.

ProQuest SIRS Issues Researcher (Grades 6+): Curriculum-aligned database of content organized by complex issues, ideally for middle school and high school students and educators.
