2025-2026 Student Registration

2025-2026 Registration is the process that registers NEW students to attend CUSD. Students will be registered to their attendance area school based on their address and given a start date 2-3 days after the registration is confirmed.

• Kindergarten is available for children whose birthdays are between September 2, 2019 and September 1, 2020.

• Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is available for children whose birthdays are between September 2, 2020 and September 1, 2021. TK is part of a two-year Kindergarten program.

All TK through 8th grade registrations will happen through the Student Assignment Office. Most registrations will be done remotely, however there will be some in-person appointments available for those who need it.

STEP 1: Gather all required documents - all documents must be submitted at the time of registration or the registration request will be removed.

• One (1) document is required from List A, B and C, along with parent photo ID, student's proof of age, most up to date immunization records and TB results, assessment or proof of appointment.

STEP 2: Complete an online registration.

**If your child has ever registered with or attended a CUSD school previously, please complete the CUSD Re-Registration form. Staff will reach out to you shortly.

• Once all required documents are collected, complete an online registration. If all registration requirements are not submitted, the online registration will be denied.
• Families must be residing full-time in their CUSD address to complete registration. CUSD does not conduct any pre-registrations.
• To request a preschool or private school assessment, please contact the Student Assignment office directly at 408-252-3000 x61-110.

STEP 3: Registration Completion

• Student Assignment staff will review the online registration and registration requirements. Once reviewed and space is confirmed, staff will reach out via email regarding the first day of school.
