2026-2027 Student Registration

The 2026-2027 student registration will resume on Monday, May 11, 2026. This is for students NEW to the Cupertino Union School District (CUSD) who want to attend the 2026-2027 school year (starting August 2026). The process is mainly done online through the Student Assignment Office, and it is required if your child is new to the District or not currently attending for the 2025-2026 school year and is enrolling in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.

STEP 1: Gather all required documents - all documents must be submitted at the time of registration or the registration request will be removed.

• One (1) document is required from List A, B and C, along with parent photo ID, student's proof of age, most up to date immunization records and TB results, assessment or proof of appointment.

STEP 2: Complete an online registration.

• Once all required documents are collected, complete an online registration. If all registration requirements are not submitted, the online registration will be denied.
• Families must be residing full-time in their CUSD address to complete registration. CUSD does not conduct any pre-registrations.

STEP 3: Registration Completion

• Student Assignment staff will review the online registration and registration requirements. Once reviewed and space is confirmed, staff will reach out via email regarding the first day of school.

If your child is already attending a CUSD school this year (2025-2026), you do not need to complete the 2026-2027 Registration.

Your child will automatically be moved to:

• Their next grade level at their current school or their home attendance area school for Kindergarten and 6th grade students.
• The correct middle school if they are moving up from elementary school.
