2026-2027 Student Registration
** Please note: The Student Assignment office will be closed from 8:00 am to 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.**
Student registration is for students NEW to the Cupertino Union School District (CUSD) who want to attend the 2026-2027 school year. The process is mainly done online through the Student Assignment Office, and it is required if your child is new/returning to the District and is enrolling in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
Important Registration Note:

Your child must live within CUSD boundaries.

Your child must be ready to start school within 2 to 3 days of submitting this request.
If your child is not ready to start within 2–3 days, please wait to submit your request.

STEP 1: Gather all required documents - all documents must be submitted at the time of registration or the registration request will be removed.
- One (1) document is required from List A, B and C, along with parent photo ID, student's proof of age, most up to date immunization records and TB results, assessment or proof of appointment.
STEP 2: Complete an online registration.
- Once all required documents are collected, complete an online registration. If all registration requirements are not submitted, the online registration will be denied.
- Families must be residing full-time in their CUSD address to complete registration. CUSD does not conduct any pre-registrations.
STEP 3: Registration Completion
- Student Assignment staff will review the online registration and registration requirements. Once reviewed and space is confirmed, staff will reach out via email regarding the first day of school.
