    Dr. Baker, the new Superintendent for Cupertino Union School District, had been the Superintendent of the San Carlos School District for the past eight years.  He was voted 2016 Superintendent of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) for Region 5.  Dr. Baker has 22 years of experience in public education as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent in both the Pajaro Valley Unified and Redwood City School Districts.  Other career highlights include being the Executive Director of the Robert N. Noyce Center for Learning at The Tech Museum of Innovation and two years on the School Board for the Redwood City Elementary School District. 

    Dr. Baker received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his doctorate in education from the University of San Francisco.
