Degrees and Certifications:
Background: I was born and raised in Los Altos, but moved down to Southern California to attend UC Irvine. I graduated with a bachelor of arts in business economics and a minor in education. I then attended the University of Southern California for my credential and master of arts in teaching. I taught 1st/2nd grade at a charter school in North Hollywood for 4 years before moving back to the Bay Area to be closer to family.
Family & Interests: My husband, who I met in the USC program, teaches high school math in Woodside. In our free time, we love to hike, camp, and run. We have completed quite a few marathons and are always training for the next race! On the weekends, we also volunteer at a local ranch that conducts a Kids & Horses Education Program for underserved youth.
Teaching: Each year, I strive to cultivate a love of reading and writing, a strong perseverance in solving challenging math problems, and a curiosity in exploring science. I care deeply about the social-emotional learning that takes place in my class and model a growth mindset in all that we do.
