Degrees and Certifications:
I’ve traveled to many places around the world, but my heart is in the Bay Area! I’ve lived here all my life, venturing only as far as Santa Cruz for school. While in college, I spent most of my time either in the art studios, psychology classes, or hiking the back trails of campus. I decided to become a teacher after I graduated and started helping my sister during her first year of teaching. I began my own teaching career shortly after and started working at Meyerholz as my first position. I have been here ever since, happily teaching 2nd and 3rd grade.
My husband, Matthew, and I live in Mountain View. Every chance we get, we try to carve out time for two of our many passions: cooking and birding! We LOVE great food and adventure. We’ve been trying recipes from Ethiopia, Jamaica, and Persia, and are thrilled with some new family favorites. We’re also working our way through the major birding hot spots across the US and have birded several target areas in Australia, Trinidad- Tobago, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, France, and Canada! We hope to continue our adventures here and abroad for as long as we can. I love bringing this interest into the classroom, and I am proud that my students become stewards of the environment and enthusiastic spokesmen for wildlife. It is my pleasure to be a part of Meyerholz’s community.
