Degrees and Certifications:
I was a CLIP parent before becoming a CLIP teacher. I received my B.A. in Economics, Minor in Psychology, from U.C. Davis and worked as a financial analyst for many years. After staying home with both my children for eight years, I decided to follow my passion and pursue a career in education. I received my Multiple Subjects credential from San Jose State University two years after that. I love being a teacher and love being with my students everyday. Both of my children, who are in college, graduated from CLIP program, the very same program I teach in.
During my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, camping, and having a nice cup of latte with friends. I believe in individual efforts and willingness to try one's best. I also believe that there should be a balance between hands-on activities and pencil and paper practices when it comes to young children's learning. All students are encouraged to explore, to investigate, and to question. They will be provided with the necessary tools so they will feel successful at their attempts and grow in confidence.
