Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Grady Wright and I am very excited to be joining the Sedgwick Community this year as a member of our 4th Grade Team! I believe in building a classroom environment that fosters leadership skills, student collaboration, academic rigor, and social emotional learning, thereby addressing the needs of the whole child through the implementation of Restorative Practices.
This is my 20th year in public education in service to students and I have enjoyed the opportunity to make a difference both as a classroom teacher and as a school site administrator in the Redwood City School District and in the Cupertino Union School District. Additionally, I am also Bilingual and speak English and Spanish, serve as a youth soccer coach, and enjoy spending time in the outdoors going camping and fishing with my family.
Rm. 30, Our Classroom, is an empowering and safe learning space that honors all learners by fostering multiculturalism, acceptance, understanding, and respect, thus encouraging all of our children to become critical thinkers and to speak their truth and be heard. All students, staff, and parents are very important members of our classroom community and I look forward to connecting and working together with all of our families at Sedgwick.
