Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Pauline Woo
I love first grade! As a first grader, I remember learning how to read and do math. I remember story time and how we all clamored to get close to our teacher. I remember spaghetti and meatball lunches. I remember the dodge ball games. I remember learning new songs. I remember loving every minute of first grade. It was then that I decided I would one day be a teacher. I’m so lucky I get to work with first graders who are inquisitive and capable. Through their questions, journal writing and oral sharing, they often make me laugh. Their smiles brighten my day. First graders have the “can do” attitude, and I admire them for it. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends (Yes, three of my best friends I met in … first grade!) I love traveling- learning about different cultures, navigating new cities, and trying new foods. I enjoy strolling through flea markets, looking over unused, pre-loved, old things and reimagining a new life for them. I can spend hours reading biographies or historical fiction. And I love a good challenging jigsaw puzzle.
