Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Barbara Fritschen
As a product myself of Cupertino Schools from kindergarten through 8th grade, I feel very at home in this district. After graduating from UC Davis with a degree in English and from SJSU with my teaching credential, I returned to CUSD as a teacher in 1992, and have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and worked as a math resource teacher. I spent 5 years on hiatus as a stay-at-home mom with my two daughters. During that time, I lived abroad in Yokohama, Japan for a year and a half with my husband and daughters, where we had the amazing opportunity to travel around Japan and Asia. Upon moving back to the U.S., I returned to teaching at Eisenhower. Education is a true passion of mine, and a few years back, I completed my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a literacy emphasis. I feel fortunate to be a part of such a caring, supportive community at Eisenhower Elementary School and such a collaborative, cohesive fourth-grade team! Fun Facts about Mrs. Fritschen: 1. I LOVE to travel! 2. I play the flute and have a collection of flutes (and one didgeridoo) that I have picked up in travels from around the world. 3. You will often see me with a chai in my hand first thing in the morning.
