Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Patricia Biocini
I grew up in Santa Clara, C.A. in a large family of five children. My mother was an immigrant from England and my father, a son of two Irish immigrants. Two parents who grew up with very little material things, but enjoyed life. Family has always been a big priority for me, so when I had my own three children, I cherished all of the years I had them at home. I started college at the age of 45 years after running a Day Care business in my home for 20 years. I graduated in 2009 from San Jose State with an Environmental Studies degree, then decided to get my teaching credential and finished in 2010. My Family I have been married for 33 years and have three children; Danny 32 years old, Kevin 30 years old, and Michelle 27 years old. Two of them live within 40 miles of me but my daughter lives in Chicago working in marketing. My older son recently was married, so now I have a daughter-in law, Gina.
In my free time, I enjoy bike riding, hiking, gardening, walking my dogs, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to spending time in the mountains, at local parks, and at the beach. I enjoy reading both non-fiction and fiction books and articles. I am interested in environmental issues because I want future generations to live on a healthy planet. Teaching I enjoy coming to work each day because I look forward to seeing and talking to my students and hearing what they think about the world. I strive to challenge my students each day and encourage them to be problem solvers. I tell them that this is their world and they need to think about how to make it a better place.
