  • Apple with School Site Council

The School Site Council (SSC) is an elected body made up of parents, teachers and the principal. Each year a school plan and budget is established by SSC which sets priorities for spending school and district funds.

    How are Montclaire goals funded?
Montclaire goals are funded through three primary channels:

    • Montclaire Parent Teacher Organization (MPTO)
MPTO is a foundation that raises funds at Montclaire via family contributions, an annual Walkathon & Silent Auction (WATSA) and various other programs. 93% of total funds come from MPTO.
    • School Improvement Program (SIP)
Discretionary state funds. 6% of total funds come from SIP.

    When does SSC meet?
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month from 3:30 - 5:00pm in the Montclaire Staff Room (check the school calendar for details). Meetings are open to Montclaire parents and staff.

How can I become an SSC member?
Elections are held each spring for parent representatives who will serve a two-year term. Nomination forms will be available to the community, and candidates will be placed in an online ballot for the community to vote on.
