The District has received many inquiries by the community about the plans for the Fall 2021.

The District remains committed to a full return to in-person instruction on August 16, 2021.  (Murdock-Portal with a modified year-round calendar will have students return on August 2, 2021.)

In August 2021, we will return to an in-person schedule that includes five days of live instruction at all schools.  The California Department of Education will be making recommendations to school districts for the 2021-22 school year in the months ahead, but Governor Newsom has stated that schools should plan to conduct full-time, in-person instruction in the fall, in compliance with Cal/OSHA emergency temporary standards and public health guidelines.

We continue to explore a “choice” program for families who are interested in Distance Learning for the full 2021-2022 school year. As details are finalized for this “choice” program, more information will be shared.  The Distance Learning “choice” program would not impact the full return to in-person instruction.

Let’s celebrate the promise of a full reopening, five days a week, for in-person instruction at all schools in August of 2021.
