Garden Gate community,

Please refer to the CUSD district website for updated information and resources to support 'at home' Learning during these next several weeks.  It is very important that students continue their learning and keep a consistent routine throughout the weeks ahead. 

The district team, teachers, and myself will be tirelessly working on a more consistent plan in the upcoming days to support extended learning opportunities. 

Aside from the importance of continued learning, it is highly important that we all do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  Please do your best to reduce the amount of extended gatherings and exposures in the community.  It is highly recommended by many references, that staying at home and enjoying the comfort of our homes is the most suitable and safe option at this point in time.  If we all do our part, together we wil conquer the continuous spread of this challenging situation.

I am fully confident and trust that all parents in our community will do their part!  Remember to carry the message forward about proper hand washing and hygiene etiquette.

Please reach out to me and/or any of your child(ren)'s teachers for any questions you might have.  This is where our House Qualities comes to life.  We are four houses as one family!

HOW DO I DONATE?

Bring your items in bags and/or boxes to the front of the school.  We have a designated space for all donations.  The more we collect prior to January 11th, the better.  On January 11th, House Council students will support in transporting the donations to the Goodwill Truck in the Parking Lot.  Also, we will be going into the community with flyers and bags to encourage any "day of" donations.

HOW DOES THE FUNDRAISER WORK?

The fundraiser is based on the amount of items donated.  More specifically, the weight of these items.  The more weight we achieve; the more money we earn.

Empty out those garages and storage units- Books, clothes, and small appliances are common items to donate.

What do the proceeds go to?

The Goodwill proceeds will go directly back to the students!  The funds will go directly into our House Council Budget, which will go towards student activities and events, school projects, and much more.
