Mr. Joseph Nuño

Wow!  This year continues to fly by...

I cannot believe we are moving into our 30th week of school!  As a Garden Gate community, I am so very proud of the tremendous work we have done since August.  From developing our very own MakerSpace, to supporting the development of CUSD's 'Portrait of a Graduate', to our fabulously run PTA Events and Activities for our kiddos.  We have done a lot as a community and we should be proud!

With all that said, our work is not complete.  Our 3rd-5th grade students are quickly approaching CAASPP Testing, while we diligently work to prepare our primary students for their next grade level adventure.  As we continue our work as a community, we must persevere through the year holding our children to high expectations, rigorous academic content, and continue to provide them the skills/tools to build effective & healthy relationships with peers and adults.

Thank you for all of your hard-work and teamwork as a school community.  Our greatest strength this year has been the ability to work as a united partnership and it clearly shows in what we provide our students and community.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY AT GARDEN GATE! Goodwill Fundraiser is NOW READY!

Flyer- Click Here

HOW DO I DONATE?

Bring your items in bags and/or boxes to the front of the school.  We have a designated space for all donations.  The more we collect prior to April 27th, the better.  On April 27th, House Council students (Both Fall and Spring) students will support in transporting the donations to the Goodwill Truck in the Parking Lot.  Also, we will be going into the community with flyers and bags to encourage any "day of" donations.

HOW DOES THE FUNDRAISER WORK?

The fundraiser is based on the amount of items donated.  More specifically, the weight of these items.  The more weight we achieve; the more money we earn.

Empty out those garages and storage units- Books, clothes, and small appliances are common items to donate.

What do the proceeds go to?

The Goodwill proceeds will go directly back to the students!  The funds will go directly into our House Council Budget, which will go towards student activities and events, school projects, and much more.
