CUSD is one of the lowest-funded school districts in California. We rely on donations to support our art, music, library and tech programs, as well as some assemblies and additional classroom materials.
Donate Directly to John Muir PTA
Your direct donations fund 100% of our TK-5 Art and TK-3 Music programs, a portion of our library and instructional assistant programs, plus some field trips, materials, and assemblies. Donate one time, or set up a monthly donation via PayPal. This is the most valuable way to contribute to John Muir. (See the PTA page of our school website for more information.)
Suggested Annual Donation
- 1 student @ $500
- 2 students @ $750
- 3 students @ $1000
Any amount is accepted.
Two Ways to Donate:
- Write a check to John Muir PTA. Bring it to front office.
- Make a charitable donation to PayPal Muir
And take advantage of your employer’s matching grant program!
Donate Directly to Your Child’s Classroom
View each teacher’s wish list on our school website, or ask your child’s teacher what they need.
These are easy ways for you to raise funds for our PTA.
Buy books at our semi-annual book fairs! A portion of every purchase goes towards buying new books for our collection. This is the primary way we replenish our library.
Purchase Scrip from our front office to use at several local retail and grocery stores. Use the SCRIP Order Form. A portion of all Scrip purchases goes towards our PTA.
All you have to do is choose Muir Elementary PTA (make sure it’s in San Jose, as there are many “John Muir” schools) as your charitable organization, and Amazon will donate 0.5% of all your purchases to our PTA.
