Principal's Message - Reporter
Dear Regnart Families,
We’ve just recently come off some wonderful community events where we saw many of our families mixing and mingling together. Thanks for coming to our PTA’s “Donuts with Dad” and “Muffins with Mom” events. I met many of our newest families and was encouraged to see how well you take care of each other! I hope these events lead to many playdates, potential babysitters, and kindle some new friendships that may last a lifetime.
This week, Regnart hosted its annual Bike Rodeo so that students may practice safe riding habits and build upon their skills as true cyclists. Seeing so many of our youngsters practicing safe riding habits is reassuring as the City of Cupertino works to expand bike lanes throughout our city. I would like to extend a special “thank you” to Cherie Walkowiak, Safe Routes to School Coordinator, for bringing out the “bike blender”. There was quite a bit of interest in making “bike” smoothies that day. All our volunteers and Sheriff’s Deputies really made this a true community event!
The fun continues as the PTA hosts our annual Art Show/Movie Night on May 17th. There’s a sneak-peek photo at the top of this page. The Art Show opens at 5:00pm and if it dries out, we will play Lego Movie 2 beginning at 7:30pm. We will do our best to keep our eye on the weather and may have to cancel if it doesn’t dry out in time. Keep your fingers crossed!
Finally, next week is a very special week as we take some time to appreciate all our staff at Regnart. Our teachers and support staff have done so much over the course of the year to make Regnart a wonderful place to grow and learn! It is fitting that we recognize their care and commitment to making this school a great place for our Roadrunners. See the attached PTA flyer for our theme each day. Of course, words of kindness and appreciation are always welcome!
