Principal Update November 2019
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving break and our getting ready for another 2 weeks off starting Dec. 23! I loved hearing the stories from different students about what they did over the break with family and friends. I hope you all had some time to relax and enjoy the time together.
Right before the break, our PTA did it again!! They planned a beautiful Thanksgiving Potluck and we had over 150 people attend. There was lots of food and fun activities and even some kid entertainment! Thank you PTA for creating events that bring our families together.
Report cards went out this past Friday. Please take a few moments and sit down with your child and review their progress and what areas, academics or behavior they will continue to work toward improving.
This is a great opportunity to set goals and make a plan if there are areas of struggle. Your child’s improvement will only work if they feel supported by you toward making those improvements. Talk with your child, not at them, on how they can work on improvement. Celebrate their success and continue to let them know how proud you are of their positive attitude and hard work. Please work closely with their classroom teacher to assure your child’s continued success at school.
We are adding in activities during lunch time to provide more opportunities for the students. Some of them include: Rainbow looms, architecture block building, Chill room with board games and drawing supplies, and we are starting music. Ask your child about them and see if they have participated in any of them yet.
I want to take this time to thank you for all you do and how much you support Eisenhower. We have so many parents volunteering in so many different capacities this year and we appreciate all the ways in which you contribute.
Thank you for your positivity, ideas, and donations! Have a wonderful holiday season!
